Anglesey is a wondrous island off the north west coast of Wales with 200km of coastline; which of course means plenty of heavenly sandy beaches, many which have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award for cleanliness and safety, home to a stellar collection of beach cottages in Wales. There is a coastal path that circumnavigates the entire island and provides stunning views and access to the dramatic cliffs and sandy bays that surround this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are two bridges that provide access to the island, both found stretching across the Menai Strait that is to the south west and separates the island from the mainland; a mere 250m at its narrowest point. The economy is driven these days mainly by tourism, however it’s agricultural roots still shine through with local produce including wine and cheese.
As a popular tourist destination, Anglesey is adorned with a great range of privately owned self-catering accommodation ranging from 1 bed seaside cottages for couples visiting the island on honeymoon or a romantic break; to large group cottages for families sharing or groups of friends that sleep from 8 to 10 people, many boasting far reaching sea views and located just minutes from the sandy beaches and seafront. A great number of these holiday cottages are pet friendly and suit a wide range of budgets, even those lucky enough to be renting luxury cottages by the beachfront. To book one of these self-catering Anglesey cottages simply choose your ideal cottage from the list here and contact the owner or property manager direct.
