Beaumaris can be found on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales close to Benllech and is home to the famous Beaumaris Castle as well as plenty of sandy beaches, award winning pubs and festivals to enjoy. Beaumaris was originally a Viking settlement, but following the conquering of Wales by Edward I (Hammer of the Scots) in 1295 the building of Beaumaris Castle commenced which formed a line of fortifications along the coast of North Wales, along with other forts in Harlech, Conwy and Caernarfon.
Filled with ancient history and a thriving coastline this small village makes for a great holiday destination for couples, families or large groups with plenty of cottages on the beach to rent. With a number of dog friendly beaches nearby, the cottages with pets welcome are popular as are the child friendly cottages that sleep five or more guests, with some of the group accommodation sleeping up to nine people. Bookings can be made direct with the property owner direct or the managing agent.
