Pevensey Bay pet friendly holiday home on the beach with sea views that sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, ideal for family friendly coastal holidays in Sussex. The house also has an enclosed garden, terrace, built-in fire pit, BBQ, open plan sitting/dining/kitchen area, pub nearby, shops within walking distance, travel cot, highchair.

This 1920’s vintage seaside chalet has recently (2017) been converted and updated by its current owner and features solar panels, wooden floors, a log burner and underfloor heating throughout.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed (with zip and link mattresses that can be made into 2 single beds - 2 x 2ft 6”) bedside table and lights, mirror, hair dryer, chest of drawers - cupboard just outside the bedroom for hanging space.

Small en-suite shower room with WC, basin and shower.

Second bedroom has a super king sized bed (with zip and link mattresses that can be made into 2 single beds – 2 x 3ft), chest of drawers, bedside table and lights, cupboard, mirror, hair dryer.

Twin bedroom with 2 hand-built beds (3ft), overhead lights, TV & DVD player, chest of drawers, mirror, row of shaker pegs with hangers.

Family bathroom with bath, overhead electric shower with constant hot water, WC and Basin with mirror and sockets for your razor/toothbrush.

Open plan sitting, kitchen and dining area with large windows and French doors giving you views to die for stretching out across the beach and the sea. The log burner will keep you nice and warm in the winter whilst watching those winter seas.

Sitting room has a selection of sofas and chairs to relax on, apple crates for side tables, wall lights; 40” TV, DVD player.

Kitchen is fully fitted and stocked with everything you could need to enjoy cooking and presenting your food; gas hob, electric oven and in-built Microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, coffee maker and a selection of cook books.

Dining area has a wooden table and chairs with overhead lights.

French doors lead out to the terrace where you can eat and relax; wooden table and chairs and a BBQ - and if you manage to catch Mackerel on the beach, cook it fresh on the BBQ – just delicious.

Steps lead down to a shingle garden with a built-in fire pit in the garden which is sheltered by boards running down the side of the garden keeping those cooler winds at bay whilst you enjoy sitting around the fire pit in the evenings.

This sheltered area is a also a great place to lie on one of the beach beds to read a book, chat or just relax.

One “well behaved dog” is welcome and the house has dog bowls, dog towels and dog biscuits to the ready! We respectively ask that your dog is NOT allowed on any furniture or IN the bedrooms during your stay. There is a dog fee of £25 per week or part stay. We may need additional cleaning if your dog does join you in bed or on the sofa.

The owner provides linen, bath towels (please do not use house towels on the beach), hand towels, bath mats, beach towels to be used outside and on the beach; washing machine, dishwasher, recipe books, 2 x hair dryers, books to read, games to play inside, beach games, anyone for cricket?

To access the property there are a number of steps which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Welcome basket (changes during the year), initial supply of essentials such as tin foil, bin backs, washing up liquid, loo paper etc

The house is a non-smoking property and we would ask that you please respect this - many thanks.

Booking

Alterations or cancellation by you

1 If you request any changes to your booking we will endeavour to comply, but cannot guarantee to be able to do so.

2 If you need to cancel your holiday please notify us immediately by telephone and also in writing by registered post. The effective date of cancellation is the date we receive written notification. Our cancellation charges are detailed in the table below.

3 If you do not pay the amount due in relation to your booking by the due date we will assume that you wish to cancel the booking, in which case we will be entitled to keep all of the deposit already paid. If we do not cancel straight away because you have promised to make payment, you will be liable for cancellation charges as per the above table, depending on the date “we” the owner treats your booking as cancelled. Any amendments or changes to the booking will incur an administration charge of £30.

A security deposit in the amount of £250.00 is taken to cover the cost of any damage or breakages to or at the Property, any additional cleaning and the cost of telephone calls (over and above the stipulated amount of calls included as part of the booking). Security deposits must be received prior to any keys being issued to you. Cleared funds must be received prior to the commencement of your stay.
