Borthwen Beach

The main beach in Rhoscolyn is known as Borthwen and is made up of a stunning crescent of golden sand that sits on the southern shore of Holyhead Island. Sand dunes and rocky outcrops line the length of the beach providing great little alcoves in which to base your camp so you can enjoy a little privacy.

Borthwen is popular with families on child friendly holidays in North Wales due to its gentle sloping shallows, plentiful rock pools and decent facilities that include toilets and showers. The beach is accessed via a narrow lane from a small car park behind the beach.
