There are two little beaches in Mousehole, Salt Ponds pebble beach at the Newlyn end of town and Mousehole Harbour beach, which is a small sandy expanse in the harbour. The latter is the most popular with young families as the bathing is very safe and the town offers all the necessary facilities behind the beach, including toilets (with disabled access) cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs and shops.
This beach is better visited at low tide when there is a little more space. There is no Lifeguard cover on either beach. Dogs are banned all year round on the Harbour beach but have access to the pebble beach.
