A spacious, sandy beach that links up with Perran Sands to create over 4 km of beach. Backed by cliffs and sand dunes this is a favourite with both families and surfers due to its size and quality waves. It can get a little crowded in the summer months at the Southern end, which is closest to town, but by moving along to the north side of the beach you can easily find solitude.
There are cafes and food outlets on the beach, as well as convenient parking, toilets and lifeguards in summer months. There is also a surf school that hires water sport equipment. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round but should be kept on leads during the summer months.
