Porth Beach

Porth Beach is a stunning broad strip of golden sand nestled between a headland that protects it from the wind. It provides long tidal shallows that make for great paddling and safe swimming for the kids and lifeguards patrol in the summer months. From the east end of the beach you can cross a foot bridge over to Porth Island to see a fascinating prehistoric settlement.

There is a pub on the beach offering great food, as well as a few more cafes and beach shop over the road. There are plenty of cheap apartments to rent nearby plus a smaller selection of luxury beach houses. Toilets and parking are located near the beach and include disabled facilities. There is also disabled access to the beach. A dog ban is imposed between Easter and September.
