Portreath Beach

The beach at Portreath is north facing and sheltered within a deep valley by cliffs on one side and a stunning World Heritage harbour on the other. It is popular beach with families and surfers with plenty of cheap accommodation available near the beachfront. There is a stream within the beach for kids to play in and the sea is often filled with surfers and body boarders.

There is a Surf Life Saving club on the beach and lifeguards patrol in the summer. There is also a lost child centre, toilets (with disabled facilities), cafes just off the beach and a car park with easy disabled access to the shore. Dogs have restricted access between Easter and October.
