Readymoney Cove Beach is only a short stroll from the centre of Fowey and is a delightful little sandy gem steeped in history and beauty that is surrounded by lush woodland and overlooked by a fairytale 16th century castle. The water is crystal clear and there are rock pools to potter in for the budding marine biologists.
For the more intrepid there is a fun swimming platform and the beach is sectioned off from the river for safety reasons. Car park and toilets (including disabled facilities) are located near the beach and there are loads of cafes, restaurants and shops in Fowey and don't forget it's only a short drive to St Austell. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the beach between Easter and September.
