South Sands Beach

South Sands Beach sits in an Area of Outstanding Beauty and attracts young families from Salcombe and Kingsbridge who come to enjoy its pristine sand and super safe swimming conditions. Despite its popularity, it has not undergone the modernisation of similar beaches in South Devon and boasts a rustic, mediterranean beauty.

Water sports are available here, including canoeing, sailing, surfing, scuba diving and there are boat tours. There is a small car park on the beach and a larger one a short walk away. Facilities include toilets, a beach cafe and a shop. There are disabled toilets and access to the beach. Dogs are banned between May and September.
