Wembury Beach

Wembury Beach lies at the base of sheltering cliffs near Plymouth and is owned by the National Trust. It has a marine centre that organises rock pool tours in the summer and its protected wildlife is something to behold. The sand is pristine, the water is crystal clear and the shore shelves very gently. That said, there can sometimes be currents.

There are plenty of activities and nature pursuits to enjoy here, namely snorkelling, surfing and other water sports, including kayaking. There are toilets on the beach, a car park above the shore and there is a great cafe within a short walk. Dogs are banned from Wembury beach from May to October.
