Malltraeth is a pretty little village that lies on the South West Coast of Anglesey. It straddles the River Cefni, which includes the Cefni Marsh, a Site of Special Scientific Interest. There is a huge expanse of marsh and sand that fills at high tide and the Anglesey Coastal path crosses at this point, allowing walkers to fully appreciate the wildlife, especially the aquatic birdlife as well as the general beauty that surrounds this coastline. The village centre is very rural but has a few pubs and a shop that also sells fish and chips and groceries. Local attractions include the nearby Newborough Forest, Anglesey Sea Zoo and a little further afield there are cinemas and some fabulous seafood restaurants.
