Made famous thanks to the Reverend Hawker who was the vicar of Morwenstow in 1835, an eccentric chap with a particular love of poetry and opium who shunned the Victorian social expectations of that era. Visit landmarks associated with the vicar, traverse the winding coastal paths and sample local fare in one of the quaint local eateries, washed down with a cleansing ale in one of the friendly pubs.

This largely unspoilt Cornish village located in North Cornwall makes for a romantic hideaway compared to the larger seaside resorts of Bude and Bideford just a short drive away. The Cornwall self-catering cottages listed here will suit families who need good quality child friendly holiday accommodation with a number of the holiday homes happy to accept pets. Bookings can be made direct with the property manager, ensuring you receive the best price and service.
