Prestatyn is a traditional seaside resort on the Irish Sea coast in the county of Conwy, which has recently undergone some redevelopment making it one of the more popular places to stay in North Wales. The resort comes alive in the summer with a fabulous sandy beach and busy beachfront with arcades and shops selling local delicacies. Near the beach there are a few parks for kids to run free and the North Wales Path begins its journey all the way round the island to Bangor. This is an ideal spot for water sports fanatics, walkers, nature lovers and cyclists. The village is well equipped and there are a few ancient sites to see nearby, including Meliden's Caves of Craig Fawr. The self-catering Prestatyn cottages listed here include pet friendly cottages ideal for groups or large families who need cottages that are child friendly and accept pets.
