The fabulous resort of Southwold sits on a little peninsular on the Suffolk Heritage Coast in North Suffolk with a strip of connecting road that links it to the mainland. This is traditional British seaside culture at its best, with its stunning sandy beach, prize seafront pier, colourful line of beach huts, classic working light house, bustling harbour and last but by no means least its picturesque cliff tops that offer the most spectacular views over the surrounding waterways. The charming Southwold is to be found north of Aldeburgh and south of Kessingland and is a vibrant and inspiring place to holiday as there’s so much to enjoy, especially during the summer months. The list of seasonal events and attractions is extensive whether it’s culture, fun or a bit of both that you’re looking for. There’s a summer funfair, organised boat trips, ramblers treks along the coastal walkways and old railway track, an ancient cliff top priory, a museum, an arty cinema and there’s also Walberswick village to explore nearby.

However you plan on spending your time here you’ll find a great selection of Southwold self-catering accommodation to rent from the holiday cottages listed below. Choose from cosy cottages for couples that sleep 2, child friendly cottages for families that sleep 4 to 6 people and if you are travelling with friends or another family try the large group cottages by the sea that sleep 8 or more, some that are also pet friendly. Many of these self-catering Southwold cottages enjoy sea views with some offering direct beach access right on the beachfront. Bookings can be made with the property manager or owner direct, ensuring you are quoted the lowest rate possible and receive an exceptional level of service.
