The property sleeps six guests and is the perfect bolthole for those wishing to get away from it all and enjoy a slower pace of life. Wander out of the cottage and into the heart of the village, where you’ll find cute fishermen’s houses, cosy pubs, and friendly restaurants serving freshly-caught seafood. The village has a picturesque, rugged beach which is ideal for rock pooling and fossil hunting. From the beach, you can also hop on a boat out into the bay to catch your own fish for your supper. There are some excellent local attractions worth exploring during your stay, including the family favourite of Pecorama (0.5 miles) with its beautiful gardens, steam train, and fabulous play areas. Heading west, you’ll soon reach the popular seaside resort of Sidmouth, where you can stroll along the pebble beach, eat ice creams, swim in the sea, and admire the elegant Regency architecture.

Enter the pretty cottage via the porch, where you can store your sandy shoes and walking boots. The property is decorated in a contemporary style, with vibrant accessories and quirky touches creating a truly memorable backdrop to your holiday. The cosy lounge, with its impressive bay window and inviting window seat, has a roaring wood burner to snuggle in front of on a chilly evening and a TV/DVD for enjoying movie nights together. To the rear of the cottage, you’ll find the spacious kitchen/diner, which is the perfect place to spend quality time with friends and family, sharing delicious food around the large dining table or planning your holiday itinerary. Two of the bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – are located on the first floor along with the stylish family bathroom, and the remaining twin bedroom is located in the eaves on the second floor (just watch out for the restricted head height). All three bedrooms have been impeccably decorated, with great care and attention taken to create calm and relaxed spaces for a great night’s sleep.

Outside, a beautiful, terraced garden, set across three levels, awaits. On the lower level, you’ll find an enclosed patio with a bistro set – a lovely spot to sit with a morning coffee. Shared steps lead to the upper levels, which include a decked terrace with a table and chairs to seat all six guests, and a fully enclosed lawn where children can play. There is also handy outdoor storage for bikes and water sports equipment.
