For day trips, Hastings (5 miles) and Eastbourne (12.5 miles) are both fantastic for days out – if you’re the energetic type, you can stroll along the promenade from Bexhill to reach Hastings. History enthusiasts will love exploring the surrounding 1066 Country, with highlights like Battle Abbey (9 miles) and the iconic 14th-century Bodiam Castle (14.5 miles). Nature lovers may want to venture into the High Weald National Landscape, starting around 12.5 miles north. The stunning Great Dixter House and Gardens (18 miles) and Pashley Manor (19 miles) are also excellent options.
