Blissful Blakeney seaside cottage that sleeps 6. This delightful cottage is set less than a mile from Blakeney quay. Blakeney is a popular sailing harbour on the Norfolk coast, with a choice of excellent pubs, restaurants and independent shops. From Blakeney Point you can take a boat trip to see a colony of seals, and there are plenty of nature reserves in the area, including RSPB Titchwell and Pensthorpe Natural Park. Blakeney is a great area for sailing, bird watching and walking. Nearby are plenty of beautiful beaches and coastal towns including Wells-next-the-Sea, Heacham, Burnham Market and Hunstanton, and there are thriving market towns inland including Holt and Fakenham. You could also visit Sandringham, Houghton Hall or the 2,000 acre Holkham Estate.
On entering this charming detached cottage, which is built in the traditional Norfolk brick and flint style, you will find yourself in the welcoming and comfortable lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, TV/ and original features including exposed beams and a wood burner, this is an ideal place to relax in at the end of a fantastic day. Exploring further, you will find a lovely dining room with seating for six guests. Heading into the kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with a built-in double electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
There’s also a washing machine kept in the nearby utility room. Large doors open out from the dining room into the attractive conservatory which overlooks the garden. There is also a ground-floor WC. Heading up to the first floor, there are three cosy bedrooms. There’s a double room at the front of the house which has wonderful views over the marsh to Blakeney Point. There’s also a twin room, and a double room which overlooks the rear garden. There is also a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC.
Stepping outside, you will find an enclosed front garden, and an enclosed south-facing rear garden. There is a paved patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ, allowing you to sit back and dine al fresco. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Although the gardens are enclosed there are spaces through the neighbouring hedges where a dog could escape.
