Blakeney seaside retreat sleeps 4

A fabulous Blakeney cottage that sleeps 4, near the sea and coastal path. The village of Blakeney is a gem on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast and lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The North Norfolk Coast Path runs along its quayside, while its flint cottages and narrow streets never fail to charm visitors. Keen bird-watchers flock to the area due to the salt marshes which border the village. Cley Marshes Visitor Centre is 2 miles away. There is a seal colony at Blakeney Point, which you can visit on boat trips out from the quay. If you prefer staying on dry land but still want to be beside the sea, you can head to Wells-next-the-Sea (9 miles) or Holkham (10 miles).

Fresh and welcoming, this property has wooden floors throughout. The sitting room invites you to spend sociable evenings chatting around the wood burner-effect electric fire, curled up on the comfy sofas. While relaxing, why not pop on a DVD or catch up with your favourite TV show? Books and games are also on hand for the quieter moments during your Norfolk adventure. Just off the sitting room is the kitchen/dining room. This large, inviting space is perfect for everyone to gather in and enjoy a pre-dinner drink while giving the chef a hand with the cooking – or tasting – when requested!

Take your pick of seating as there’s a breakfast bar with stools as well as the dining table and chairs. The kitchen is kitted out with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, as well as a CD Hi-Fi. Just off the dining area is the conservatory with a table and chairs, the perfect spot for a cuppa and a read. A cloakroom with WC completes the downstairs. On the first floor, two bedrooms promise a refreshing and invigorating night’s sleep: one is king-size, and the other has twin beds. Sloping ceilings add character to both, and both have built-in wardrobes. When it’s time to freshen up, the cool, crisp bathroom awaits, with a shower over the bath, heated towel rail and WC.
