This gorgeous cottage sleeps four guests and the dog in Borth-y-Gest, overlooking the bay and estuary beyond. Stroll down to the beach, local cafe and deli, or join the footpath to the coastal town of Porthmadog, just 1 mile away, with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the pretty harbour. Porthmadog is the starting point of both the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways; why not board a steam train for a scenic journey? From your door, explore the coastal path to find a string of glorious sandy beaches. Portmeirion, the Italianate village that is home to the TV show “The Prisoner” and many cultural events, is 5 miles away. Activities on hand include swimming, sailing, surfing and canoeing, walking, cycling and golf. Snowdonia National Park is a short drive away, offering plenty of adventure in its magnificent mountains and forests. This is a year-round destination.

Walk into this welcoming terraced coastal cottage, hang up your coats, and continue through to the lovely kitchen with bifold doors onto the deck with fabulous bay and mountain views. Relax on the chairs and embrace the view whilst planning your meals. The kitchen is creatively designed and perfect for rustling up something tasty. When the meal is ready, the dining room is the perfect setting to gather around and enjoy time together and plan your holiday activities. Relax in the lounge on the comfortable sofas, watch a film on the Smart TV or just enjoy the glow from the wood burner on cosy nights in. When ready for bed, head upstairs with the choice of three bedrooms: the king-size with Smart TV and en-suite shower room, the double with views over the bay, or the single, also with sea bay views. Also on this floor is the stylish family bathroom.

Outside there is a decked balcony with glass balustrade and table and chairs, overlooking the estuary. Here you can enjoy the view from sunrise to sunset whilst watching the wildlife and ebb of the tide. Cyclists can use the bike bar to lock bikes to in the enclosed garden.

There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
