Caernarfon lodge

A pretty cottage just outside Caernarfon sleeping seven guests across three bedrooms. Close to the beach and with countryside walks from the doorstep, you will have plenty to keep you busy. Just 1.5 miles away is the village of Bontnewydd which has a pub, fish and chip shop, and a couple of other handy shops. Caernarfon (2.5 miles) is a bustling town with eclectic mix of eateries and shops, as well as the imposing Caernarfon Castle, dating back to the Middle Ages, and the Welsh Highland Railway which stretches for 40 miles throughout Eryri – Snowdonia. There is an award winning garden centre/gift shop with a fantastic cafe within walking distance. A short drive to footpaths up Y Wyddfa- Snowdon. Spend days soaking up the sun at Dinas Dinlle Beach (6 miles) which has a wide stretch of sand, or get active on foot or bike along the traffic-free route Lon Eifion (1 mile).

This traditional home is characterful with beamed ceilings and Welsh slate floors throughout. Enjoy cooking in the rustic kitchen/diner, which has all the amenities you need, a dining table, chairs and an electric fire. The cosy lounge has a warming wood burner with all logs supplied for your stay by the owners. The double bedroom is situated on the ground floor, as is a lovely bathroom offering a bath and a separate shower. Upstairs, there are the further two bedrooms, one pretty twin and a single room, with great views of the surrounding countryside. There’s a second family bathroom up here too.

Outside, there is a terraced, lawn garden. Take a seat on the patio’s garden furniture, admire the views and dine alfresco. From here, you can also access the owner’s fields and farmland.
