It's hard to catch your breath when you enter the open-plan living area of this stunning architect-designed house. Built in reverse-level to maximise the views, this really is an indulgent place to relax and admire the panorama whatever the time of year. Fully equipped and great for entertaining, the living area is extended further in summer when the covered balcony and enclosed garden are a real bonus!

The picture windows and patio doors create a light and airy living area which leads out to a spectacular covered balcony which is a fantastic private space for alfresco dining and just enjoying the panoramic outlook. You can enjoy use of the balcony late into the evening when exterior lighting causes this luxury self catering accommodation to be seen to "glow" on the hillside at night.

Although completely safe, we do recommend that all children are accompanied at all times. The balcony is directly above the sub-tropical garden and sun-terrace, which also has a discreet storage area with boogie boards, buckets, spades and beach games for both children and adults alike! The house has up to three car parking spaces behind its private gated drive.

The garden has been recently landscaped to incorporate a large lawned area with sun loungers' and a large paved area for entertaining. Enjoy lazy barbeques on long summer evenings or challenge your fellow-guests to a game of boule on the lawn. There is plentiful outdoor seating for you to enjoy the panoramic views across and around St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse. The sun loungers and table and chairs to seat 8 are perfectly placed to benefit from the sunshine, ideal for an escape from city-life, gatherings of friends or families or time out to gain some inspiration for writing and sketching. St Ives is close by and is brimming with art galleries including the Tate and the Hepworth. Writers such as Daphne du Maurier, Rosamunde Pilcher and John Betjeman made Cornwall their home and drew deeply from their surroundings to write truly inspiring pieces of literature.

This beautifully-crafted, bespoke kitchen by George Robinson is built in ash with granite surfaces and makes cooking at Fernhill Lodge a pleasure. Why else would this house have starred in 25 Beautiful Kitchens magazine? There is an American fridge-freezer with ice maker, NEFF built in dishwasher, microwave, hob, oven and separate grill. In addition is an "island" with a breakfast bar and stools. All the usual appliances are provided as you would expect from five star accommodation. Laundry facilities are all housed in a separate utility room on the ground floor with washer/dryer and sink. The covered balcony and table and chairs seating 8 are easily accessed from the kitchen for alfresco dining with a spectacular view.
