A superb sea view cottage near the beach in Cromer that sleeps 6. Situated on the outskirts of the bustling Victorian town of Cromer, you can enjoy the historic pier, museum and independent shops and eateries within 1 mile, and the long sandy beach is just across the road. Famous for its crab, don’t leave Cromer without trying some! Along the coast, Sheringham (4 miles) has a family-friendly beach and a range of shops and eateries, as does the market town of Holt, which is 10 miles inland. Fancy a boat trip? Head out from Morston Quay (14 miles) to Blakeney National Nature Reserve to observe the seals and the visiting seabirds. Heading in the opposite direction, you can visit the Norfolk Broads National Park (30 miles). You can also enjoy cliff-top walks from your doorstep.

Beautifully decorated with a neutral palette, light wooden tones and contemporary fixtures and fittings, this coastal retreat offers plenty of space for everyone to relax. On the ground floor, you’ll find one of the bright and airy double bedrooms and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. There’s also a games room for the kids to escape to with table football, a selection of games, a TV with DVDs and a sofa bed. Heading upstairs to the first floor, a reverse-level layout allows you to make the most of the sea views. The lounge has large windows and a sliding door that frame the panoramic views beautifully, so that you can appreciate them from the comfort of the sofa, and if the sun is shining, slide open the door and head out on to the balcony.

The well-equipped kitchen, with its contemporary decor and clean lines, has everything you’ll need to cook up some treats, including an electric cooker and microwave. There is ample seating at the dining table in front of the window, which allows you to dine against a backdrop of the far-reaching views. There are two further bedrooms on this floor: a delightful double room and a twin room (with a cot), as well as a modern shower room with WC.

Outside, enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the patio while the children stretch their legs on the lawn. You can also enjoy a quiet drink on the balcony. There is off-road parking for up to four cars.

The perfect property to enjoy one of Norfolk’s top events – Cromer Carnival! Usually running during the third week of August (please check exact dates) it’s packed full of fun events for the whole family. Please be aware there will be a funfair and marquee on the field to the front of the property (sometimes set up a week prior to the event) so the sea view will be obstructed. There may also be some noise from this, and from associated events in the area.
