This traditional Welsh cottage sleeps 5 guests on the Cymyran Strait separating Holy Island from Anglesey. It’s all about the great outdoors here – walk on the sandy beaches, inspect the rock pools or venture into the water, which is perfect for swimming, fishing or paddleboarding. If you’d rather stay on dry land, then why not join the Wales Coast Path from here. Just getting to the property is an adventure, as it’s accessed by a track and foreshore that is occasionally tidal. Take your binoculars and tick species off your wildlife list. The village of Valley is just a mile away with its small shops, a tea room and some takeaways if you don’t feel like cooking.
A white-painted cottage sleeping five or six far from the crowds in this rugged corner of Anglesey. The cottage hunkers down close to the land, so all the accommodation here is on one level, but there’s plenty of space. The kitchen/diner has a fitted kitchen that’s generous on cupboards and space, with double-aspect windows to let the light flood in while you dine at the pine table seating six. The lounge is a welcoming space with quirky feature stone inglenook now housing a wood burner with comfortable seating around it. If you’d rather feel outdoors indoors, head three steps up to the sun lounge with three-piece suite and stunning views. The three bedrooms (a double, a small double – with one step up to it – and a twin) all have cosy carpeting, rustic furniture and are decorated in calming tones. They share one contemporary bathroom with a bath, shower over the bath and WC.
The property sits in 5 acres of land with a small, enclosed area right outside the cottage and further expansive lawned areas. There is no patio as such, but the house does come with a table, chairs, parasol and BBQ with plenty of spots to put them! It’s also got access to amazing landscapes, countryside and footpaths all around with the nearest beach being just 300 metres away.
