Large luxury beachfront holiday home in Fife overlooking Elie Beach, a former 17th century customs house converted into a stunning beach house that sleeps 20 in 8 bedrooms.
With its pleasing proportions, there’s much to admire architecturally, including an extension by one of Scotland’s foremost 19th century architects, Robert Lorimer, who was also responsible for countless castle and country house alterations.
As you might expect, there is a fully-equipped kitchen and a utility room with two dishwashers, something of a necessity when the dining room table seats 22. There is no shortage of places to relax, from the lovely drawing room to a cosy snug with TV and a library with a window seat looking out over the sands.
Outside there is an enclosed, sheltered garden with a boule pit, a fire pit, a gas BBQ and three seating areas, meaning there’s always somewhere to catch the sun, when it comes. Out front, there is the Sea Garden
Arty and eclectic, this refined beach house is very easy to live in.
