Happisburgh is a quaint and historic coastal village ideally situated for discovering the spectacular north-eastern coast of Norfolk. The village is known for its picturesque thatched cottages, its historic church and welcoming pubs. There’s a lovely beach nearby as well as the red and white striped Happisburgh Lighthouse. Local landmarks and attractions include East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden, the Museum of the Broads in Stalham and BeWILDerwood Norfolk (all within 12 miles). The village is also perfect for exploring the Norfolk Broads, with Hickling Broad to the south (7.5 miles). Back along the coast you can visit the pretty village of Mundesley, the popular seaside resort of Cromer or spot the seal colony near Horsey Gap (all within 14.5 miles).
This fresh, bright and imaginatively updated traditional cottage features a cosy lounge which makes a perfect space to get together and relax. With original exposed beams, polished wooden floors, a Smart TV, iPod dock, wood burner effect electric fire and plenty of seating, the lounge is ideal for settling back to watch a movie at the end of an exhilarating day. There’s also a selection of books to browse and games to play. The pretty dining room also has beams and wooden floors as well as a feature brickwork wall and a lovely dining table which you can gather round to share all your favourite dishes. The spacious, sleek and elegantly designed kitchen has a wealth of equipment including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. On a lazy afternoon you can head through to the garden room – a wonderfully sunny conservatory with a table and chairs, perfect for afternoon tea.
There are also dog beds here for your canine companions. Exploring the ground floor further, three steps lead down to the inner hall bedroom which has a handy single day bed, suitable for family use, intended as alternative sleeping accommodation. There’s also a stylish family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Once it’s time to retire for the night, head upstairs to the two beautiful first-floor bedrooms. Decorated in light soothing shades and featuring exposed beams in high vaulted ceilings, there’s a choice between a delightful double room and a cosy twin room. The accommodation is rounded off with a first-floor WC.
Stepping outside, there’s a charming fully enclosed courtyard patio to the back of the cottage. Featuring a choice of outdoor furniture, this is a pretty space to relax in the afternoons and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.
