Take the ferry back and forth over the river or discover more of Torquay, Salcombe or Totnes on the South West Coast Path – which offers 35 walks within 10 miles of Dartmouth, or drive 5.5 miles to the National Trust’s Greenway house and garden, the atmospheric former holiday home of author Agatha Christie.

In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many local events and festivals in the area like the Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Torbay Air Show, Brixham Pirate Festival, Devon County Show.

Accessed via a shared hallway and a flight of stairs, this comfortable second-floor apartment has a gorgeous, timber-floored living space that runs the length of the apartment, full of light from its windows at each end. The lounge area has floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall, glazed bi-fold doors that lead to a balcony and offer fabulous views over Dartmouth’s marina and the river, and in the centre is a handsome dining table and four chairs.
