This spectacular cottage sleeps 5 in Kingswear and offers gorgeous waterscape views over Dartmouth and beyond. The perfect perch from which to explore Kingswear and Dartmouth, home to traditional pubs, local shops and plenty of landmarks, starting with the local Kingswear Castle (2 miles) and the National Trust-owned Coleton Fishacre House and Gardens (3 miles). Cross the river to Dartmouth for all its sights, galleries, museums, shops, and eateries either by ferry or bridge.

The cottage is set in an elevated position up 32 steps from the main road, but the views make the climb worth it. Inside the house, you’ll find a hallway with coat hooks and baskets for boots and shoes. Off the hallway is a stylishly decorated lounge and dining room. The lounge features two plush sofas in front of an original Edwardian fireplace (not in use) and a large bay window that offers lovely views across to Dartmouth. The open-plan dining room houses a glass dining table and elegant chairs for six. At the rear of the house, you’ll find the fully equipped kitchen attractively finished with wooden work surfaces and spotlighting. Climb the stairs to the first floor to find a bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle, and the three bedrooms, two king-size and one single. One king-size bedroom sits at the front of the house, with beautiful river views and has an en-suite shower room, while the second sits at the rear of the house and has patio doors to the rear garden.

This property has creatively designed outside space, built to make the most of the fantastic views. At the front of the house is a large deck where you can fire up the gas BBQ and dine at the wooden table with seating for six. Or head to the back of the house, where you’ll find a pretty garden with steps leading to another large deck with a table and chairs. More steps lead up to a wooden cabin/sunroom with power, lighting, shelves, chairs, and a table. Bi-fold doors let you enjoy the view even on chilly days.
