This spacious Mortehoe two-bedroom apartment sleeps four guests and is in a splendid location for families or groups of friends who want to explore the beautiful North Devon coast. A short, uphill stroll away, the pretty clifftop village of Mortehoe (0.25 miles) has shops, traditional, pubs and cafes, as well as an excellent small museum housed in a listed barn. Explore its fascinating display of local history, art and craft works and maps of splendid walking trails in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wander down to Combesgate Beach (0.5 miles) to find a wide expanse of gently sloping sand and rockpools that is perfect for children. Woolacombe Bay (1.5 miles) offers 3 miles of golden sand and is renowned for great surfing, with an array of surf schools ready to teach novices how to ride the waves. Splendid coast paths abound. Follow the 5-mile Mortehoe circular walk to enjoy dramatic cliffs, pretty beaches and a possible sighting of grey seals in the Atlantic below.

The apartment occupies the middle floor of an attractive detached house. It has its own private entrance via a short flight of external steps leading to a large porch with ample storage. This opens to a lovely light-filled living room furnished in style, with a large window overlooking the sea and distant headlands. A bright kitchen/breakfast room has an outlook to green hills. There are two bedrooms: a king-size, with sea views, and a twin with zip-and-link beds that can be made to form a 6′ super-king-size on request. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC and there is also a cloakroom with a WC.

Outside, a patio with seating has superb countryside and coastal views – a perfect spot to watch the sun go down.
