Those who love life on the water can board an estuary cruise from Salcombe Harbour half a mile away to spot glimpses of the friendly colony of resident seals. Keen outdoor enthusiasts can also try out sailing, kayaking, surfing or paddleboarding from the quay, or head to Dartmoor National Park (19.5 miles) to conquer miles of heather-clad moorland. The gloriously golden sands of North Sands Beach, with its rock pools alive with tiny fish and crustaceans, can be reached within 2 miles.
At the heart of this home-from-home, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasts a truly serene ambience that beckons tired travellers to unwind at the end of a long day on the sand. The soothing neutral colour palette sets the scene for pure relaxation, whilst the charming nautical touches perfectly mirror the glorious coastline that surrounds you. On the first floor, you’ll find a light and bright family bathroom as well as two bedrooms, one king-size and one bunk bedroom, that provide an oasis of calm to retire to. The second floor comprises a charming double bedroom tucked beneath the eaves, which features fabulous rooftop views over Batson Creek and Island Street.
From sunrise to sunset, the decking outside offers a haven of tranquillity to retire to; dine alfresco with a glass of something chilled or plan your next adventure with your morning coffee as you catch some sublime sunrises across the Kingsbridge Estuary. There is no parking available at the property, but the nearest car park can be found within a 5 minute walk of the doorstep. Please note that there are two flights of external concrete steps from Island Street to the front door of the property.
