Treknow 2 bed self catering holiday cottage

This 2 bed self-catering holiday cottage is located in a hamlet of mostly old cottages, a mile from the fine sand/surf beach of Trebarwith Strand. Tintagel, about 1 mile. Superb coastal walks. Golf, leisure centre and riding at Camelford (small town, pubs, shops, restaurant on the river Camel), 6 miles.

The cottage is on three levels with about 10 steps up from the lane up to the front door. At the back, the cottage has a long, enclosed garden (table/chairs) on various levels with a gate at the top leading to a back lane and parking. A few hundred yards down the lane, a good food pub/restaurant (remember torch!). Not suitable for people with limited mobility. Friendly all-year-round family houses, well placed for beach, walking and exploring north Cornwall.

The cottage is end-of-terrace and bright and welcoming with lovely touches of colour and interest from prints, pictures and well chosen furniture. From the steeply sloping, lawned front garden, step up to porch with plenty of space for boots and beach paraphernalia. Another step up to living room (wood burner, TV/DVD) with large bay window with valley view and sea glimpses.

Smartly fitted, L-shaped kitchen/dining room (slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, cooker with induction hob). Back door to garden, outhouse (washing machine, tumble drier, storage for surfboards). Steep stairs from living room up to a very pretty double bedroom (5' bed) with bay window and lovely rural views seaward. Bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Further narrow and steep stairs up to a large bright bedroom under the eaves with three single beds, TV/DVD and good views.
