Ideal for families and groups of friends, or for a family celebration, this character property – once the living quarters for the nearby pub, Horatio Nelson’s favourite haunt – is in the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea and close to amenities for a worry-free family holiday. Set in North Norfolk’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wells-next-the-Sea is steeped in history and was one of England’s great ports in Tudor times.

The quay (100 metres) makes the perfect crabbing spot – see if you can spot the Lifeboat Horse, made from old whisky barrels, only visible when the tide goes out. Staithe Street is adorned with eateries, local shops and coffee shops only a short walk away, but fun for all the family can be found on the outskirts of the town on the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway (1 mile), the world’s smallest public railway.

Enjoy some quality family time together in this welcoming character property, which offers plenty of social spaces and sleeping arrangements to suit all ages. Upon entering the house, you are greeted by a warm and inviting living area with comfortable seating and a Smart TV as well as plenty of books and games. Through the living room, you will access the kitchen/diner which is fully equipped so you can whip up a meal for the whole family with ease. There is also a downstairs WC. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms: one king, one twin and a single bedroom, all bright and light, giving maximum sleeping options to keep everyone happy.

There is also a bathroom and a separate shower room. On the second floor is a loft-style twin bedroom accessed by a very steep ladder stairs to the second floor, young children will need supervision and it may not be suitable for anybody with mobility problems, as well as a second loft space with directors’ chairs giving you the perfect front-row seat to the quay and sea views below.

There is an enclosed patio area at the front of the property, as well as a terrace with comfortable seating, accessed by the first floor of the property, that gets the afternoon and evening sun.
