Whitby sea view cottage sleeps 4

A superb cottage in Whitby with sea views and private underground parking. This gem of a cottage for four, situated in the old part of Whitby with its quaint shops, is a stone’s throw from the 199 steps to the abbey (under 50 metres), and provides both sea views and proximity to the beach (0.5 miles). As the evening draws in, visit the atmospheric Whitby Abbey, a ruined monastery that was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s classic novel, Dracula. Dusk is a great time to visit and take in the spooky ambience of the site. Moving away from the coast, head south for 6.5 miles and visit the wonderful Falling Foss Waterfall and enjoy barista coffee and homemade cakes in the tea garden.

This property is a lovingly restored fisherman’s cottage with the benefit of modern amenities. Enter on the ground floor into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area and settle down for the evening in front of the TV and wood burner-effect gas fire. From here, move up the stairs to the first floor where a double bedroom with a feature fireplace awaits. The bathroom is on this floor too. Moving up to the second floor via an open staircase, you’ll find another bedroom in the attic space. This room has twin beds and a low, vaulted ceiling.

To the front of the cottage, there is a shared seating area.
