Venture down to the secluded pebble beach (1 mile) or blow away the cobwebs with a longer amble along the rugged coastal path of the Sheep’s Head Way (2 miles). Tuck into a picnic and enjoy far-reaching views of the Caha Mountains from the Bantry House and Gardens (17 miles).

This pretty property features a warm country interior with dark furniture and cosy social spaces. Shrug off jackets at the door then step into the first wonderful lounge. Throw a log on the open fire then curl up on the sofa with a book. Venture into the second lounge to stretch out on the squishy sofas for a catch up. Budding chefs will delight in whipping up a feast in the large country kitchen/diner with views over the pretty garden. Toast to a memorable meal gathered around the dining table with your group, before finally retiring upstairs to find four airy bedrooms, including two doubles, a single, and a twin.
