This quaint and rustic farmhouse is set on the main Ring of Beara route to Castletownbere and offers the perfect base from which families can discover the wooded hills, rugged coastline and charming villages that make this corner of County Cork so special. With the host village of Glengarriif on your doorstep, you’re never far from local shops, restaurants and pubs that offer a warm Irish welcome. Lovers of the outdoors will enjoy a trip to Glengarriff Nature Reserve (2.5 miles) where gorgeous views and local wildlife await your discovery – stop off at Lady Bantry’s Lookout for the best vistas. Hikers are totally spoiled with coastal, countryside and mountainous trails leading away in every direction, while closer to home, boat owners can make full use of the property’s private access to the sea before discovering the likes or Garnish Island (2 miles).

The two-storey farmhouse sits in an elevated position overlooking the sea and is surrounded by rocky outcrops and evergreens. Inside, the traditional Irish charm continues, offering varying and vibrant interiors that all flow with natural light from the windows. The lounge offers a comfortable spot to unwind thanks to the crackling wood burner and soft furnishings that invite relaxation before or after long days of adventure. When stomachs start to rumble, amble through to the kitchen/diner where you’ll find all you need to whip up a memorable family feast, which if not eaten here, could also be enjoyed in the separate, more formal dining room. When day turns to night, choose from three neatly presented bedrooms; a double room with an en-suite shower room, and served by the well-appointed family bathroom; a cosy twin and a single bedroom.

Outside, the spacious, enclosed garden is the best spot from which to enjoy the far-reaching views that surround you, made even more enjoyable by the garden furniture and BBQ that invite al fresco evening meals together.
